How does EMS work?
Electrical Muscle Stimulation uses gentle electrical impulses to target muscle activation directly. These impulses mimic the natural signals the brain sends to muscles, triggering contractions. This enables effective strengthening, pain relief and accelerated recovery.
Direct nerve activation
During normal movement, the brain sends a signal via the nerve to the muscle, which contracts. EMS speeds up this process by applying an electrical impulse directly to the motor nerves in the target area.
Deep muscle activation
Impulses penetrate deeper than conventional training, engaging muscles that are otherwise hard to activate – including the deep stabilising system.
Full muscle fibre recruitment
While conventional exercise recruits fibres progressively, EMS stimulates a far wider spectrum of muscle fibres – both fast and slow twitch – simultaneously.
